Kill The Camels
“Good news for the Camels”, the weatherman said in Yesterday’s new.”At last, they will have some rain, that will grow them grass”.
The weatherman presumed it makes a nice connection from the previous item, that dealt with Camels invading irrigated land because of the dry winter and lack of grass. For me, however, it invoked strong feelings: I immediately wanted all the Camels to extinct.
That’s how it goes when after a most beautiful, sunny month, they suddenly say that just on your wedding day “we will finally have some decent rain”.
