Signs and Books

The first day of the Russel Berrie NanoTechnology Institute (RBNI) 2008 Winter School held only a single lecture. It was a rather good one, though.

In order to clarify my meaning, I present you a few of the slides shown there; naturally, I chose those with less physics contents, so they might appeal to more readers.

First, Here is a sign the lecturer saw in a recent visit he made to South-Africa:

And that’s what he read in a newspaper there:

No wander people like to visit South Africa.

Later he showed us a rather old Chemistry book, that deals with questions related to the nanoscience fields. I present here a few of his slides:

What is Chemistry? What is the smallest thing in the world? What is the lightest thing in the world?

Indeed, a nice book. There were around 50 other slides, but I’ll skip those - I don’t want to spoil the impression…
