Amusing Morning
Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008Following the last academic strike, this morning some students blocked the Technion gates, causing horrible traffic jams in Haifa, demonstrating for… something.
It is not clear what they were demonstrating for (not even for them, I think; the Technion senate will assemble this Sunday to decide what will happen with their studies, so the timing of this demonstration is a bit bogus), but nevermind - student demonstration is always fun, and this one - which included some 150 students with a drum and megaphones when I passed it, was particularly amusing due to the phrase they were shouting when I passed.
