The Whole Story

There’s a restaurant in Haifa named Tatami. I first got to know them on my third date with Elina - at the time, I lived in Herzliya, so I let her choose the place, and she picked up this nice spot. It is indeed a nice and cozy sushi bar, and we had a really good date there, then. We have since returned to the place several times, and though the food remains very good, I have to admit that it lately started to deteriorate - last time we’ve been there, the waiters were not very attentive. Maybe it’s connected to the fact that they opened a new branch, at a notorious place in Qiryat Byalik: their new branch is located in a place where every restaurant in the past few years failed.

Ice Cubes

Ice cubes come in many flavours and colours. Normally, in your home’s refrigerator, they would have a dim white colour. In airplanes, you usually get crystal clear cubes. Not to mention the beautiful bluish colour of clean icebergs.

New Meteor Hit

Peru was hit by a meteor last weekend, they say. The newspaper even provides a nice photo of a small crater. The report of this cheerful event immediately raised one big question.

The Complexity Of Cell Membranes

Lately, I have been busying myself (among other things) with molecular biology a bit. Under this framework, I found the following schematic picture of composition of a cell membrane; it is taken from a common model - something called ‘Chop Suey’ model, after the famous Chinese dish. Just to get an idea about the impressive complexity of cell membranes.
