Fruitful Weekend

Last weekend had been very active. I managed to go to Jerusalem, to visit the archaelogical site near the temple-mount; then to a nice show; then to Arad, to visit a lovely museum there; and in the evening - back in Tel-Aviv - to go to the Rabin memorial. In between I did many housecare thingies - shopping, cooking, having fun.

Grossman’s Fine Speech

Like every year (except last one, when I wasn’t in Israel), I went yesterday to the central event on Rabin’s memorial - the gathering at the square in which he was murdered. The central speaker this year was David Grossman. It has been a long time since I heard a speech on which I agree so totally, practically with every word in it - including the parts that some would claim too naive; I present here Grossman’s text without any modification.
