Two Beer Facts

Monday, September 25th, 2006

Celebrating the new year, I sat with my brother at a nice pub yesterday. My brother is a very unique character, and - among many other things he does at his spare time - some time ago he attended a course to educate himself as a bartender, just for the fun of it. Somehow we got to a point where he told me two principle facts about beer, that I was not previousely aware of.

Close To Death

Sunday, September 17th, 2006

It’s not me. Really.
Someone asked me last weekend about occasions in which my life were at risk. Then I read on Eran’s blog about people who risk their lives doing adventurous things. It made me reflect a bit on occasions in the past when my life expectancy could have seemed shorter then desired. The list paints me as a man totally different from who I really am. Here are my top five entries, and one extra. The funny thing is, that I am really really totally different then what you’d imagine reading this list. You simply can’t imagine how much.

Binaric Trees

Sunday, September 17th, 2006

Many things in the Eilat weekend did not go as planned, to say the least. One of them is that we never got to see the binaric palms that hide just behind the city. The Elephant Strikes Back

Sunday, September 3rd, 2006

Here is a nice logic riddle. I asked it one of my friends a few weeks ago, and because he didn’t solve it immediately I thought it would be nice to ask it here. It deals with an Elephant.

For Human Thou Art

Friday, September 1st, 2006

for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Genesis 3:19

Just a small conversation I had had with Oded earlier this evening. I got somewhat drunk, and somehow some poets and some poems were mentioned, and - I don’t know how we got to that point - I tried to quote one memorial-day style song written by Yehuda Amichai and couldn’t remember the exact words (I was really too drunk, this is quite a famous poem).
