A New Doctor Is Born
Monday, May 22nd, 2006A doctorate thesis defence was the centre of my first day in Amsterdam. The second one was dedicated to tulips and other flowers; the third one for the queen and the fourth to the city itself. On my fifth day I visited a few museums and my last half-day was well spent in the markets. This is the first in a series of posts describeing some of the major events I experienced while visiting my brother, who lives in this famous city, the “Venice of the north”. This post describes my first day there, on which I escorted my brother in one of his pleasent social commitments.
