Every Wagon Has A Horse
And my horse was two german girls.
I actually lowered my initial price pretty much for them, nonetheless I sold it for 50$ more than what I bought it for, before the fixes and repairs I did; but it is - according to the inspection they made - in a much worse condition than it was when I bought it, and having driven this car for some months I totally agree with the inspection - I expect it to break on them pretty soon, unless they actually take it to the garage and treat it (yes, of course I didn’t service it after travelling some 20,000k”m - why should I replace the oil?).
It was really hard to find two girls that will not look at the odometer and see that the car had over 400,000 k”m (this is what initially frightened most of the costumers, before seeing the real bad things - e.g., tyres, breaks, oil leaks, holes in the exhaust, and other neat staff); it was even harder to find girls who would not look at the three-year-service-history of the car, full of receipts, and see that the odometer has been broken and stuck for almost two years now; but as the mechanic who did the inspection told them - it is not a bad car, just an old one. It certainly served me well. I did loose some hundreds of dollars on it, but just because I did repairs and didn’t want to bargain too much - it was one of the worst cars in the market (I sold it after watching over 15 cars of the same model getting sold, and only because they came in at a dead hour when I was the only one presenting the car; and had I stayed in the market another day, I would have to pay the owners of the market more money). Anyway, it is not a real loose - having a car saved me heaps of money in australia, and was certainly cheaper than travelling by bus, for example, not to mention the comfort.
It worked just like I described in the previous post - the girls were hooked on the car, so they used the inspection only for bargaining the price instead of run away screaming with the result, as any reasonable man would do. Oh, well, I’m happy they are german and not Israeli or any other nationality.
I really didn’t want to stay any longer in the market - five days to sell a car is more than enough. Tomorrow morning I’m going to schedule a flight to New-Zealand, as soon as possible - hopefuly even tommorow night or the day after tommorow, if there will be flights.

Congrats!
I wish buyers here would be so easy, I’m trying to sell my Opel and no luck thus far.
