They have public Iternet Phoneboxes in Heathrow

Thursday, May 5th, 2005

Hi everybody!

I just arrived at Heathrow (some 10 minuts ago). The flight went just fine. I set by a window (just because I wanted. I had a ticket for the passage, but since it is a short day flight I wanted to enjoy the view) and the scene was indeed nice: does anybody now why the islands of Greece look brown and not green from the air? aren’t there any trees there?
Anyway, they have here a “public internet”: it is like a public phone, only with a touchscreen, a small keyboard, and a place to insert your credit card. Very useful for travelers waiting there connetion to Bangkok…
I landed on 20:30, and it’s still light in here - pitty, I hoped to see the sunset from air, but not today.
I noticed that I left on a nice time: the date is 5/5/05, and the departure time was 17:00.
Of course I didn’t have enough time to clean the mess in my room - pitty. Because of the late night packing I forgot my after-shave, but this was easily fixed in Ben-Gurion duty free, where I met father (who was supposed to fly two hours before me, but had a technical problem in his plane - shuld have flied British! Anyway, I left Israel before him, so I don’t know what ended up,but for me it was very nice meeting at the airport.)

Another nice meeting at the airport was with Oded and Keren, who came to say goodbye, and with Elad-Uno fron the spanish course (Elad, what’s your last name? In the spanish course we were three students called Elad. So Elad Uno is working at the airport coffee shop - which earned me a cup of coffee, thanks Elad - Elad Dos is me, and there is also Elad Tres, and together we were ‘Los Elados’).
I’m now going to board to my Bangkok flight, so let’s hope it will be just as good.

Bye,

Elad

Oded is a great friend

It’s three o’clock in the morning. Just finished packing the bag.
Oded and Keren came all the way to Timrat just to bring me the jukebox (after they packed it with songs and audiobooks - now I can hear “The Hobbit” on my flights) and stayed here to help me pack the things.
Oded even volunteered to add some nice features to my site that I didn’t have neither the time nor the knowledge to add myself - so there are things to look for…
Oded and Keren: thank you thank you thank you thank you you’re great friends.

Good night everybody - I’m going to get some sleep.
